    Advice

    • Before the party, prepare a list of problems that married couples may encounter. At the party, provide each guest with a piece of paper and have them write a piece of marital advice on it. Place all of the advice papers in a bowl. To play the game, read aloud one problem from your list, then pick a random piece of advice from the bowl and read it aloud. This often results in hilarious mismatches of relationship problems and solutions.

    Groom Quiz

    • Before the party, prepare 20 questions about the bride and get the groom to answer them. At the party, read out the questions and have each guest and the bride guess the groom's answers on a piece of paper. After everyone has finished writing down their answers for all the questions, read out the groom's answers. The guest who made the most correct guesses wins. Read out the bride's answers so everyone can hear how close she came to knowing her groom's mind.

    Clothespins

    • As each guest arrives at the party, give her a clothespin. When the party starts, announce a rule to everyone. For example, nobody can mention the groom's name, nobody can mention the word "wedding" or nobody can talk about the weather. When someone breaks the rule, she must give her clothespin to the person who catches her breaking it. At the end of the party, the guest with the most clothespins wins. Look for clothespins in the theme colors of the wedding; you can also substitute other items for clothespins.

    Bingo

    • Before the party, draw a grid of boxes on enough cards for all the guests and write the name of a traditional shower gift in each box. For example, you can write "nightgown," "dinner set" and "cookbooks." Mix up what you write in the boxes from card to card. During the party, provide each guest with a card. When the bride opens a gift, the guests place an "X" on the box that corresponds to the gift. The first guest who manages to cross all the boxes in a row wins.
