Night Viewing Under Full Moon Night
Taj Mahal is one of the most beautiful marble mausoleums, listed amongst the Seven Wonders of the World. Taj is seen during the day by visitors in large numbers and looks amazing under the sunny days. Night viewing of Taj had been allowed since 2004 under the full moon night. Though, it always looks beautiful irrespective of Day and Night but viewing it during night is a unique experience.
Visitors are allowed to see Taj under moon light except a month of Ramajan or Ramadan. It also remains closed on Friday. There are only 5 days allowed in a month for visitors to see Taj under moon night, a day when full moon night occurs and two nights before two nights after a full moon night.
Full moon night occurs on different dates in every month as day progresses so it varies accordingly. Entry for visiting Taj under night opens at 20:30 hrs PM until 12:30 hrs on five specific nights. At every moon night, only 400 visitors are allowed in eight batches of 50 people to visit for 30 minutes each. Video cameras and mobile phones are not permitted to carry inside unlike during the day.
Entrance tickets for night viewing of Taj under moon light can be purchased a day before of a date of visiting Taj. An entrance for foreign traveler is INR 750 per adult where as INR 510 per adult for Indian national. For Child above 03 years up to 15 years, INR 500 per child will be applicable. Dates for night viewing are also available in various web sites.

Since it was open for general public under moon night in 2004, there has been a huge increase of tourist arrival in Agra to see Taj during night. Engineering applied for building Taj, inlay work, filigree and calligraphy work on marble can also be observe during the visit. 20,000 workers had been labored for 22 years (1630 - 1652) to build Taj by Mughal Emperor Shah Jahan.
