How to Make a Scrapbook for a Moving Friend
- 1). Write an outline for the layout of your scrapbook before you begin. You can arrange the book chronologically, documenting events in the order that they occurred. Or if a group of people is working on the scrapbook together, you can each claim a section and fill the pages with your own memories and photographs of times you shared with your friend.
- 2). Print out photographs of you and your friend engaging in different activities, or of places you remember visiting together. Use a color printer if you can. In pictures in which the setting is irrelevant, cut the people out and discard the background. Organize the photos and other items in the order you plan to use them.
- 3). Choose one large picture or several smaller ones that you wish to be the main focus on each page. Arrange them on the pages and make sure you like how they look. You can glue colored or patterned paper underneath the photos on each page for a background if desired.
- 4). When you're ready, glue the pictures and leave the space around them open for borders, titles and other memorabilia. You can also allow a little room for "journaling" some personal thoughts to your friend or details about the photos.
- 5). Decorate the open spaces around the photos with drawings using markers and colored pencils, and glue in ticket stubs and other memorabilia. Use stickers for finishing touches.
- 6). Write notes on the pages to your friend invoking inside jokes about the items, and tell her what her friendship means to you and how much you will miss her.
