How to Write a Letter Seeking to Be a Business Agent

    • 1). Create a cover letter. Start by typing your name, title and contact information. Include the name of the company you are seeking as a client and include a title that informs the reader what this document is.

    • 2). Address the letter to the person who will be reading it. If you do not know this person's name, call the company and ask. Type "Dear," followed by his name and include the date on the top of the letter.

    • 3). Introduce yourself. Explain who you are by stating your name and the details of the things you do. List any qualifications, skills or other details that would build your credibility with the reader.

    • 4). State the purpose of the letter. Be clear when writing your reason for the letter. Tell the reader that you are a business agent and that you are very interested in working with his company.

    • 5). List the reasons why the company should consider hiring you as its agent. State the key reasons why the company could greatly benefit from hiring you.

    • 6). Ask for a meeting. Clearly ask the reader when a good time would be to meet with him to discuss this possibility. Tell the reader that you will call him if you do not hear back within a specified time period, such as one week. Include your phone number again in the letter and thank the reader for considering you.

    • 7). Close the letter by typing "Sincerely," followed by your name.
