If you have a friend who is getting married, it is tradition for his friends to get their heads together and arrange a stag do for the groom-to-be. This is no mean feat, there are so many questions to ask, where are you going to take them? Should you stay close to home or go further afield? Who should you invite? The following tips should help to give you some advice when considering what to do for a stag party.

The first piece of advice is to plan ahead. Do not leave your planning to the last minute or the stag do will end up a none event. Give yourself 3-4 months to get a plan together.

Decide who you are going to invite to the stag weekend. It is best not to be too discriminative, so a good approach would be "the more the merrier".

Make a decision as to where you want to go for the stag weekend. If you are staying within the UK, look to spending a weekend in one of the major cities, such as London, Nottingham, Manchester or Blackpool. There will be a plethora of suitable activities, bars, pubs and clubs to choose from. The benefits to staying in blighty are that you know the language, the cost of things and the lay of the land. If you are staying within the UK, make sure you hire a stretched limousine for everyone. Limousines are an awesome way to get the proceedings underway and if everyone pays a share of the hire fee, the overall cost is quite reasonable.

If you really want to make the stag do weekend really special, why not go abroad? There are plenty of cheap flights available to European destinations such as Warsaw, Prague and Amsterdam. A weekend in one of these destinations will really be a stag do to remember. With the cost of accommodation and beer often being far cheaper abroad, compared to the UK, the weekend overseas may even work out to be cheaper. If you have reservations about arranging a stag weekend abroad, then you should consider using an agent who specialises in stag weekends to make the arrangements for you.

Why not plan some activities that you could do during the daytime on your stag weekend? There are plenty of events that you could pre-arrange, which will make the weekend enjoyable. Activities outside of getting drunk could include go karting, quad biking, paintballing, tank driving, bungee jumping or even zorbing.

Book you accommodation well in advance. Most of your stag weekend will be spent outside of the hotel boundaries, so something clean and simple will suffice. When on the stag weekend, it is a good idea to be able to get back to the hotel, so write the name of the hotel on a piece of paper and keep this somewhere safe.

Save enough money. There is no point in planning a weekend away if you have no cash, so if necessary stay in for a few weekends and put some of your hard earned money aside for the stag do. It may be worth considering having a kitty, where all of the stag weekend purchases could be taken from. Just make sure the most financially responsible person is in charge of the kitty!

You should have in mind some sort of drinking game to play throughout the evening such as "Higher Or Lower". The game simply invovles turning over a card from a deck and guessing if the next one will be higher or lower. If you get it wrong, you can guess the punishment.

You want to humiliate the groom-to-be in the nicest possible way, so make sure that he has to dress up in some sort of ridiculous outfit. Towards the end of the night, ensure the groom has had his eyebrows waxed and is left in the hotel lobby in nothing more than his Y-fronts-job done.

Remember to bring a camera, you will want to keep the photographs of the grooms humiliation as a memento.

The final tip is enjoy yourself and remember-what happened on the stag weekend stays there!
