How to Access a Computer on Your Wireless Network
- 1). Click the "Start" icon and then press "Control Panel" on the remote PC you are going to connect to. Navigate to "System and Maintenance," and then "System."
- 2). Click the "Remote settings" option and choose any of the options beneath the "Remote Desktop" section. Click "Yes" if prompted for administrator approval.
- 3). Click on "Select Users." Click the "Add" button in the "Remote Desktop Users" section. Click "Locations" to choose and add a computer from your network connection. Type the name of the computer that will be accessing this computer or the IP address into the "Enter the object names to select" field. Press "OK."
- 4). Click the "Start" button then "All Programs" on the PC that is connecting to the remote PC. Click "Accessories" and then "Remote Desktop Connection."
- 5). Type the name or IP address of the computer being connected to in the "Computer" text field. Click the "Connect" button. Your computer is now connected to the other computer on your network.
