We all must understand our world is full of different people, very different people.
This is why we must be so careful as to who we listen to for information and education.
Does your favorite politician, news reporter, radio host, neighbor, or friend accurately predict future events or economic statistics with some type of accuracy? There are people who know of which they speak and people who pretend to know.
There are people who speak the truth and people who lie.
There are people who inform themselves and people who don't.
There are people who use critical thinking to solve problems and people who use emotions.
There are people who read books for solutions and there are people who know solutions because they have real life experience.
Did your source for political and news information predict what's currently happening with Obamacare? Did they predict that for every one person who signed up for Obamacare, forty four have received a cancellation notice? Did they predict a cost increase averaging forty one percent for the average American? Did they tell you, if you like your health care plan you can keep it? Did they tell you, if you like your Doctor you can keep him or her? If they didn't, why do you continue to trust that source? Do you remember the mythical government shutdown from October which has disappeared from memory and the teleprompters? The shutdown that was supposed to bankrupt our country and throw the whole world into turmoil? During that government shutdown two Senators emerged from nowhere, Ted Cruz and Mike Lee.
They stood in the face of establishment Democrats and Republicans.
They warned the American people of impending disaster during a twenty one hour filibuster.
The two men spoke about the hardships which would face the middle class because of increased taxes and increased health care premium costs.
During that shutdown the House Republicans passed multiple legislative bills to fund the government yet simply delay portions of Obamacare for a year.
Democrats in the Senate said "No.
" President Obama said, "No.
" Republicans were branded terrorists and anarchists by employees of ABC, CBS, NBC, MSNBC, CNN, NPR, and even Media Matters for requesting delays related to the Affordable Care Act.
Democrats and their sympathizers stood their ground demanding no changes to Obamacare at all.
No compromise, none.
The President's signature legislation was said to be the law of the land which could not be changed.
The law was proclaimed to be, perfect as written.
The President himself had already illegally granted big Wall Street corporations a one year exemption from the employer mandate in Obamacare without Congressional authorization.
So many of us were scratching our heads wondering why the President and Democrats in Congress were so unwilling to grant regular Americans the same exemption.
