Test Before You Buy DJ Equipment
Before you even go anywhere to open your wallet and buy what it is you want or what you think you need, try and see if there is a place where you can test the DJ equipment before you purchase anything.
Most stores that sell DJ equipment will usually let you play on their displays before you purchase any equipment.
Although the best way would be if you have a friend that has a set of turntables or CD mixers with a lot of different music for you to sit there and play with to learn more or less what you are looking for in your DJ setup.
Also this will help you determine what kinds of music to get when you go out to buy your own.
To find someone that has the equipment already is not as difficult as you may think it is.
If you want to become a DJ then most likely you know someone that is already a DJ.
Although if you do not know anyone with any equipment you can always go to a recording studio where they have DJ decks, or you can even rent some DJ equipment.
The only bad thing about that would be the fact that you have to go ouot and spend money that you will eventually need to purchase your own equipment.
So this should be your last resort to testing out equipment.
Besides all that you will need to bring in your own CDs or Vinyls which you probably don't have yet.
