    • 1). Remove the tire changing kit from its location in the side panel on the rear driver's side of the vehicle.

    • 2). Pull up on the reclining lever and move the front passenger seatback forward to allow access to the spare tire carrier socket.

    • 3). Remove the spare tire carrier socket cap by turning it counterclockwise. The spare tire carrier socket is located on the floorboard, directly behind the front passenger seat.

    • 4). Take out the spare tire lever and lug wrench from the tire-changing kit bag.

    • 5). Attach the spare tire lever by inserting it into the slot in the spare tire carrier socket.

    • 6). Attach the spare tire lever to the lug wrench by inserting it through the center hole on the lug wrench. The lug wrench now forms a handle you can use to turn the spare tire carrier socket.

    • 7). Use the lug wrench to turn the spare tire carrier socket counterclockwise. This will lower the spare tire from its place underneath the vehicle. Continue to turn the socket until the spare tire reaches the ground.

    • 8). Detach the retaining plate from the spare by turning the lever on the retaining plate one-quarter turn counterclockwise. Pull the retaining plate out of the spare tire wheel by lifting it straight up. The tire is now free and can be installed on the MPV.

    • 9). Turn the spare tire carrier socket clockwise until retaining plate is fully seated against the bottom of the vehicle. Detach the spare tire lever from the socket and replace the socket cap.
