How to Enjoy Rainy Days
There are not that many people that enjoy rainy days, especially kids.
As spring weather rolls in and starts to get warmer outside, kids want to play outside.
Sadly, getting up on a rainy day can take the fun out of playing outside, and it's a great idea to have some things to do when it rains.
I can remember the days growing up where a Little League game was canceled because of the inclement weather.
Few things were more upsetting than this as a child.
Luckily, I had some parents who proactively planned around these things, making it easier to bear the load of bad weather.
Here are several suggestions that may come in use the next time your kids are feeling dejected due to the weather conditions.
Depending upon what they like, there will most definitely be a few things that should suit them well.
1.
Going to the library is a cool way to spend time when it rains.
There, your kids can get some books and bring them home to read.
2.
Many kids enjoy watching movies, but picking the best ones are necessary.
Educational themes are easy to find and make a fun way to learn at home in the rain.
3.
Getting an idea box is a great thing to consider on rainy days.
The kids can write some activity ideas on paper and then have a surprise grab bag selection of fun things to that day.
4.
Having a dress up party is great fun too.
Think of using more rainy day time and make poodle skirts.
This is a lot of fun for moms and daughters.
5.
Another fun way to kill time is to play board games.
Yes, the old fashioned toys that we all played growing up as children.
These are still just as enjoyable as they ever were.
There is no end for all of the choices to pick from.
They are a great way for every one to have a good time.
6.
Additionally, think about reverse writing.
This is when you write out a sentence backwards.
When you're done, hold it up to a mirror and see how you did.
7.
Baking cookies at home is fun to do on rainy days too, and kids absolutely love to help mix the ingredients and dough together.
The nice smell of cookies baking in the oven is great, along with being able to eat them too.
Getting under a blanket while eating a warm cookie and watching the rain is great.
