How to Crop in Lightroom

    • 1). Open Adobe Lightroom. Click on a photo in your Library.

    • 2). Click on the "Develop" tab.

    • 3). Click on the "Crop Overlay" button beneath the photo or press the hotkey "R" to bring up the crop menu. A grid will appear over your photo with corners that can be dragged to crop the photo.

    • 4). Move your cursor over a corner of the photo until it turns into a double-arrow icon with a line through it. Click and drag the corner of the photo to enlarge or shrink the crop area of the picture.

    • 5). Move your cursor to the center of the photo until it turns into an icon of an open hand. Click and drag the crop frame to the section of the photo to which you wish to apply it. When the crop frame is sized how you want it and placed in the proper area of the photo, click the "Crop Overlay" button again or press "R" to crop the photo.
