How to Replace Symbols on Windows XP

    • 1). Open your document in whatever word processor or application it was created in, by double-clicking the document file.

    • 2). Locate the symbol you want to replace. Highlight it and press "Delete."

    • 3). Click "Start,"and then click "All Programs." Click "Accessories," and then click "System Tools." Click "Character Map."

    • 4). Browse through the newly available symbols. Select a symbol, and then click "Copy."

    • 5). Switch back to your application, press "CTRL"+"V" to paste your new symbol.
