How to Tell What Ink Is in the V505
- 1). Turn on your Dell V505 printer.
- 2). Grasp and lift up the scanner unit to access the printer interior.
- 3). Push down on the ink cartridge levers at the front of the cartridge carriage after it moves to the center of the printer to unlock the ink cartridge lids. Flip up the lids so that you can look at the cartridges.
- 4). Check the labeling on the top of each cartridge to determine the type of ink that you're currently using.
