How to Clean Concrete Floors That Have Cat Urine
- 1). Soak up as much of the cat urine as possible with an absorbent cloth or paper towels.
- 2). Pour 1 quart of 3 percent hydrogen peroxide, 1/4 cup of baking soda and 1 tsp. of liquid soap into a medium-size, nonmetal bowl.
- 3). Stir the ingredients with a long-handled, nonmetal spoon. The baking soda and hydrogen peroxide will froth as they react.
- 4). Place a funnel in the opening of a bottle that has a sprayer attachment. Pour the cleaning mixture into the bottle and replace the sprayer attachment.
- 5). Spray the concrete with the cleaning mixture, saturating the area.
- 6). Turn on a portable electric fan or a ceiling fan to help dry the saturated area.
- 7). Allow 48 to 72 hours before reapplying the mixture to the stain. Repeat the process up to three times.
