Prophetic Evangelism Chapter 10 - Words of Knowledge With Groups
One of my favorite pastimes/experiences is to approach a group of youth or a group of people and say, " I've got a gift, like a party gift.
How'd you like me to tell you one good thing about each of your personalities, one great character trait each of you've got?" Most often they say yes.
So, I start with the first one and the Lord will give me a character trait, like honesty and I say that you're so honest, such and, such and such, and such.
I'll explain the character trait and go on to the next person.
When there's about five or eight people there, they're stunned that you can do it.
You get to the end and say, "Do you want me to go back the other way and give each of you another one?" Often after I've gone back the other way I say, "Do you know how I know this information?" and they say, "No.
" I then said, "I am a friend of Jesus Christ and Jesus has been telling me this information.
Is there anything you'd want to ask Him?" Often a person will respond with a question for Jesus and Jesus will give me the answers straight away for the person.
Often the person will test the gift with their first question and then the second question will be a more intimate and personal thing.
Most often I see tears come out of their eyes when they hear the answer to their second question.
So, words of knowledge are powerful in a group and a group can be amazed when you share the good character traits of each of the people.
It's not really personal information so no one in the group will get embarrassed and if their friends, they'll know of their friends.
They'll know that is a character trait in their friend and everyone will be edified.
It's just something that I'd encourage you to use.
It is good to get a group of people listening to the things of God and it's a good opener to share the Gospel and share God's gift, and share God's information with total strangers.
Total strangers are quite impressed when you can walk up and tell them all about their lives.
For as many times as you want, you could give them 10 characteristics about each of them.
As much time as I've got as much time as you've got, you can continue on but I always like to move it on to, "As anyone got a question for God?" and have the faith to bring the answer from God for the people.
Sometimes, I've spent half an hour, an hour with a group of people and I've just been petitioning God for answers and I've ended sometimes in prayer.
One time in this situation, I lead five people to the Lord.
They all gave their hearts to Jesus.
So, it's a wonderful thing and it's something I encourage you to do out there in your travels and prophetic evangelism.
I encourage you to do it; it's a wonderful party trick.
Practice one time with your church group, youth group or a group situation.
You could tell them all the character traits but its best with strangers because there's no preconceived ideas that you know anything.
So, God Bless you!
