How to Remove Black Spots From Wood Floors
- 1). Rub the stained area of the floor with a steel wool pad. If the stain persists, apply some mineral spirits solvent to the area and rub with steel wool. Allow the substance to dry on the floor.
- 2). Dampen a clean cloth with household vinegar or bleach if the stain persists. Gently rub the stained area with the cloth. Let it sit for about one hour.
- 3). Dampen a clean cloth with water and rinse the stained area of the floor. Wipe the area dry with another clean cloth.
- 4). Rub fine sandpaper to smooth the floor. Apply a small amount of floor wax to just cover the affected area, and buff the wood with a soft cloth.
