Coping, or dealing with their own problems is a skill that any child should learn.
But they cannot do this by themselves - they need to be taught by someone and parents are the best help to their children when it comes to teaching them how to deal and how to solve their problems.
The first thing that a parent should do is to teach his child how to deal with his own feelings, such as anger, how to discover all the causes and how to find a solution in order to stop his anger.
So, first of all you should ask your child: "What is it that you are angry about, what made you become angry?" There are some strategies that psychologists think we should use when it comes to solving our child's problems.
If we decide to focus on the feeling itself we can: we should try to distract him, to help him focus on something positive.
We can create some distance from that angry situation - we can go for a walk.
If we decide to focus on what caused the problem we can: confront the person with whom he is angry, helping him understand that there are things that cannot be changed and that he just needs to accept them and try to get over them.
There are parents which teaching their child to get rid of his anger by hitting a pillow or by yelling, but they must understand that this is a temporary relief.
In the long run, these actions can lead to much more anger and to a very aggressive behavior.
