How to Use Silicone Polish on a Brand New Car
- 1). Make sure your car is clean and completely dry. Now's the time to wash it if you see even traces of road grime.
- 2). Fold a clean polishing cloth so it is about the size of your hand. Cover one side of the cloth with a layer of silicone polish.
- 3). Working on one body panel of the car at a time, rub the silicone polish onto the panel using small overlapping circles. You don't have to apply much pressure. Just make sure that every part of the panel is completely covered. Wait five minutes before proceeding to the next step.
- 4). Rub the polishing compound you applied with another clean, soft cloth in overlapping circles, but this time, you should maintain a steady pressure as you polish. Rub the entire panel until it is evenly shined.
- 5). Apply a coat of car wax over the polish to protect your brand-new car. Follow the instructions on your car wax to produce the best results.
