    Nokia 5230

    • This is a touch-screen phone, which means you input data directly through the phone's screen. You can connect the phone to a personal computer via a USB (universal serial bus) cable, which allows you to sync data between the computer and phone. You can also send SMS (short message service) and MMS (multimedia messaging service) texts, and MMS texts which include text and videos or images. The 5230 costs between $169.99 and $199.99 as of November 2010.

    • The Samsung Galaxy S allows you to capture high-definition video, and comes with the 1 GHz Hummingbird processor. It features of 2 GB of internal memory, and it comes with a preinstalled 8 GB microSD card and a 5-megapixel camera. This phone has built-in Bluetooth connectivity, wireless Internet and mobile-hotspot capability (a hotspot is any place that you can get on the Internet using a wireless local area network). The Galaxy S costs between $500 and $600 as of November 2010.

    HTC Touch2

    • This is a touch-screen phone that uses the Windows Mobile 6.5 Professional operating system, and comes with 512 MB of internal memory. It has Bluetooth and WiFi connectivity, and a 3.2-megapixel camera. Other features 370 minutes of talk time and 500 hours of standby time, as well as an expansion slot for a microSD card. You can also connect this device to your computer via a USB cable in order to sync data, and it comes with applications for social networking sites, including Facebook. The HTC Touch2 costs $279.99 as of November 2010.
