A Clean Bathroom - Five Tips to Keep It That Way

We all love a clean bathroom.
But it often takes a lot of work to get it that way.
So once you've scrubbed and scoured and wiped, here are five ways to keep your bathroom clean longer.
1.
Every time you shower or bathe, rinse out the tub or stall.
After you take a shower, take a spray bottle with water and spray it around the stall.
Use a sponge to later up the excess soap scum.
Then quickly wipe down the stall or tub and then rinse and wipe clean.
This minimizes the buildup of mildew and soap scum.
If you do this every time, your tub or stall will stay sparkly clean without the need for extra scrubbing.
And you'll minimize the risk of bacteria, mildew, and soap scum.
2.
Make certain that you choose the right products for your countertops.
As it turns out, plastic laminates can handle harsher abrasive cleansers.
But for marble, you should wipe it down with a soft sponge and non abrasive cleanser.
And above all, don't use any kind of steel wool since it can create grooves which will be next to impossible to keep clean.
3.
Clean your mirrors properly the first you do it so you'll avoid streaks.
Use a mixture containing 1/3 cup vinegar in 1 gallon of water.
Then spray it on the mirror and wipe/buff clean with a clean cloth or paper towel.

You may find that your bathroom is more prone to mildew.
So simply spraying down the stall or tub after you bathe may not be sufficient.
Follow up by spraying with a mildew inhibitor after you wipe it down.
And leave the shower door open to get good air circulation through the stall.
You can keep mineral deposits from building up on shower doors by using some white vinegar with fabric softener and water.
This does a great job of keeping the soap scum away as well and leaves your shower door sparkling clean.
5.
As gross as it sounds, make sure that you remove hair from your bathroom drain regularly.
It will avoid clogs keep the water, soap, and hairs flowing quickly down the drain.
This helps avoid material settling around the drain and building up.
So if you follow these tips, you'll find that your regular bathroom cleanup with be much faster.
And your bathroom will stay much cleaner and brighter in between.
