    Custom Loads

    • When you first begin online play, you have only the standard soldier load outs to choose from. As you earn experience and ranks, you will unlock new weapons, equipment and abilities. You should tailor your equipment to your style of play. In general, you want to choose medium-damage long-range weapons (such as the 50-caliber sniper rifle) for outdoor maps and high-damage or fast-firing weapons with high capacity, including submachine pistols and machine guns.

    Pixel Watching

    • The game engine dynamically tracks players based on your visuals. Everyone in the front cone (approximately 120 degrees) from your character is fully rendered, even if they are behind walls. If you watch carefully, you can see players who are hidden behind walls if you are close enough to them. Even at long ranges without a scope, you can see slight movements indicating where players are. Sounds aren't always a good indicator because background fire is recorded in the soundtracks.

    Double Tapping

    • You get a higher score for head shots and firing fewer rounds to kill your targets, but this isn't always effective in online play. Other players tend to move rapidly, jumping and strafing to avoid their opponents, which makes it difficult to hit and kill them. Usually, the first two shots with any weapon (even the sniper rifle) has little to no recoil. Take advantage of this and always fire two shots unless you are sure that you can defeat your target with one shot. This also helps in cases when the opponent has a feat that allows him to keep shooting when he falls.
