• Laser hair removal is traditionally done in a clinic, since hospitals don't usually host cosmetic procedures. It's important when looking for a clinic that you choose one that is relatively close by and affordable and has a professional atmosphere. If you ask the doctors at a clinic questions about the procedure and the tools they use, they should give honest and open answers. If the clinic uses a crystal diode laser, chances are good that they'll tell you, since it's viewed as a high-quality instrument. If they don't tell you what kind of laser they use, ask.
  
  

Treatment

• Laser hair removal treatments, even those performed with a crystal diode laser, can take several sessions. As such, it's important that you listen to all of the instructions given by the doctors for preparation before the treatment and for behavior after the treatment. Before a treatment, the area that will be undergoing the laser removal should be shaved, and at the clinic there will usually be a gel applied to it. After the treatment, you should avoid any unnecessary exposure to the sun, wearing sun block and thick clothing if possible.
