Sundance Helicopters - A Review

No trip to Las Vegas is complete without a trip to the Grand Canyon.
And one of the best ways I know of getting there is by taking a Sundance Helicopter.
Here's a quick review of my trip: Right off the bat, I knew Sundance Helicopters was special.
I was staying at the Wynn Las Vegas hotel resort.
I got a call from the concierge informing me that my ride was waiting for me.
I hurried to valet and was escorted to a stretch limousine.
Nice touch! It didn't stop there.
I arrived at the Sundance air terminal, which is located right off the Las Vegas Strip.
The building was spectacular.
On the front was a poster announcing the company as the winner of a Diamond Service award (very prestigious).
VIP Helicopters The lobby was like a showroom.
The seats and couches were plush.
Windows rose up two stories.
I could see McCarran International.
I shifted my vision and saw Sundance's fleet of of brand-new EcoStar 130 choppers glistening under the sun.
It was my group's turn to board.
Twenty paces ahead of us our chopper awaited.
The pilot introduced us to all the aircraft's features.
It was a mini Q&A.
I could tell it calmed the nerves of one woman who was visiting from Australia.
Our EcoStar 130 was built from nose to tail for sightseeing.
Its cabin is 25% larger than regular helicopters.
The extra space is used for theater-style seats and 180-degree wraparound windshields.
Legroom is substantial.
I'm 6'-3" and I notice these things.
I'm also sure my neighbor was happy I wasn't squishing her!.
There's a Flight for Everyone Sundance Helicopters offers a variety of great tours to the West Rim.
The most popular is the bottom-landing trip.
It involves flying 4,000 feet to the bottom of the canyon.
This trip can be extended to include a river-rafting trip.
Other tours come with Grand Canyon Skywalk tickets and Valley of Fire flyovers.
The standard Sundance tour flies above Lake Mead and Hoover Dam.
Helicopters fly at a lower altitude than airplanes, which means you get a phenomenal view of the Dam! One of the great perks about Sundance's Strip-based terminal is that every flight comes with a bonus flight of the heart of Las Vegas.
I always take the early morning flight.
It gets the best visibility.
Sundance offers sunset tours, too.
If a particular sunset tour is unavailable, book a late afternoon flight.
Always book in advance.
More than 35 million people visit Vegas each year and many take a helicopter tour.
Getting the Best Deal You'll also save money by purchasing your seats on the Internet.
Even though Sundance is a premier provider of helicopter tours, they still run promotions.
I know because I bought my seat on the Web and it was much cheaper than what the woman from Australia paid! My Sundance Helicopter tour was excellent.
I would highly recommend them.
Especially if you want to the see the Grand Canyon in style.
Sundance's prices are not the cheapest, but the quality of their flights is off the charts.
If you appreciate the personal touch, or are celebrating a special occasion, Sundance is for you.
