    • 1). Check the smart Multi Stage Battery Charger to determine the length of time required for a single charging cycle. Charging cycles range from 2.5 to 14 hours on a propane generator for full charging of a battery, depending on the model of the charger and the amps per hour.

    • 2). Check the gas valve in the propane generator for the level of gas in the gas cylinder. Ensure that there is enough fuel to run the generator for the full charging cycle. You can determine this by checking the specifications of the propane generator, which will indicate how long (in hours) the generator can run on a full tank of gas. Use this information to determine the amount of time in hours that the generator can run on the available fuel.

    • 3). Ensure that the generator is off and connect the 240V smart Multi Stage Battery Charger to the outlet of the propane generator.

    • 4). Attach the outlet clips of the multi-stage battery charger to the battery to be charged. Ensure that the red cord is attached to the positive terminal of the battery and the black cord to the negative terminal.

    • 5). Turn on the propane generator and check to see that the multi-stage charger indicates that current is passing through it and charging is taking place.

    • 6). Turn off the propane generator when the multi-stage charger indicates that the battery is fully charged.
