How to Change a Tubeless Motorcycle Tire
- 1). Slide the tire a few inches under the side of a car or truck.
- 2). Place a block of wood (1-by-1 or 2-by-2) along the side of the tire rubber near the wall. Then find a larger 2-by-4 and slide this under the car carriage. Work it like lever applying pressure down on the smaller block of wood in slow intervals. This will eventually break the bead.
- 3). Insert a tire iron under the lip of the tire and pry it up around the rim of the wheel. Work the tire iron around the wheel rim doing the same thing, until the entire tire is pulled over the rim.
- 4). Remove the tire from the wheel rim by continuing to work with the tire irons, or by using your hands. Apply lubricant if necessary.
- 5). Lay the new tire on top of the rim, make sure the tread is facing the right way and the rotation of the tread is correct. Push the tire onto the rim.
- 6). Push part of the tire under the wheel rim as if you are mounting the tire on the wheel.
- 7). Work the rest of the tire under the rim by using the tire irons as a wedge.
- 8). Inflate the tire up to the specified pressure on the tire using an air compressor or regular bike pump.
