ClickBank Making Money - Clickbank Order Form
In order to become a ClickBank affiliate, you need to create an account. Go to ClickBank.com and fill out the ClickBank sign up form. The process only takes a few minutes. You will be required to enter your contact information so ClickBank can get a hold of you to send you your earnings. Once you've completed the sign-up form, you will receive an e-mail that will include an 8-digit confirmation code, your account nickname, and your password, which will be identical to the confirmation code within the e-mail.
Traditionally, the way bonuses are dispensed is manually. The prospect must email the affiliate their sales receipt and request the download link for their bonuses - which are almost always in the form of digital goods. Needless to say, this process is something that both the prospect (now a customer) and the affiliate would prefer to avoid.
If you have not given bonus incentive sites much thought until now, I suggest you take a closer look.
For some time now I have been developing affiliate web sites that promote ClickBank products. As a software developer I have been able to take advantage of automated bonus delivery - an option not available to most affiliates. Until now.
This ClickBank Making Money - Getting Started Guide is divided into three sections.
With ClickBank making money is fairly straight forward and easy. It involves a simple and repeatable set of actions that I will describe in this article. With ClickBank making money doesn't have to be hard, and there are definitely no hidden "guru" secrets involved.
Basically the solution is to use a script on your server which generates a unique Thank You Page for each customer. The purpose of this is that access to that Thank You Page is limited - so that after the customer has finished using it, that particular Thank You Page can't be used again and again by other people to access the same product(s) without permission.
You might find the Thank You URL getting emailed around between friends wanting to download your product, posted on file sharing forums, and even getting indexed by search engines. In the latter case, people finding your site in a search engine, might even end-up going to your Thank You page and downloading your product without even realizing that they were supposed to pay! ClickBank suggests adding noindex metatag to the Thank You page which may help a bit in the case of those search engines which pay attention to metatags (not all of them), but you need to do quite a bit more if you want to stop the other kinds of sharing.
After you create your account and receive the confirmation e-mail, click the confirmation link. You will be sent to a confirmation page. Click the Log In link at the top of the screen. After you enter your login information, you will be taken to the Account Home Page. This is the page where you'll be able to keep track of your earnings.
I got around the problem myself by creating my own bonus delivery system that checked my ClickBank sales commission reports every 3 hours looking for new sales. I was able to automatically extract the email address of each new client and email them a download link for their bonuses.
Affiliate marketers hardly need to be sold on the idea of offering bonuses to their prospects as an incentive to purchase products through their affiliate link. In fact, if you are marketing to affiliate marketers themselves, you have virtually NO chance of making the sale unless you DO offer a substantial bonus. Otherwise there is no reason why the prospect should not simply buy the product through their own affiliate link.
Some people say that you should not worry about piracy, since pirates would never buy your product anyway. My own personal experience and opinion differs however. I believe that there are of course some hardcore pirates who would never pay (and correspondingly there are many honest people who will always for a legitimate copy of product), but I also believe that there are many people in the middle - people who will pirate if piracy is convenient and easy, but who would pay if that is a better alternative.
