    • 1). Click on the "Link" icon in the "Share" toolbar, located at the top of your Facebook news feed, or profile page.

    • 2). Paste the URL for a link in the text field, just beneath the "Share" toolbar. Click the gray "Attach" button.

    • 3). Use the arrows in the "Choose a Thumbnail" line to select a thumbnail image. Each link typically has at least one thumbnail associated with it, but more often than not the website from which the link comes has multiple images, each of which can be used as a thumbnail. Clicking on the right arrow moves to the next thumbnail, while clicking the left arrow moves back to the previous thumbnail. If only one thumbnail is available, the arrows will be gray and unclickable.

    • 4). Remove the thumbnail altogether, by checking the box next to "No Thumbnail."

    • 5). Enter an optional comment in the "Say something about this link" field, and click "Share" to post the link.
