    • 1). Raise the front of the K1500 up on a pair of jack stands while it is parked on a flat surface. Touch the top of the engine to feel the temperature. If its warm, wait 20 to 30 minutes before continuing on.

    • 2). Go under the car with a flashlight to find the transmission and the radiator. The transmission is located in the center of the engine, just off to the driver's side. The radiator is the large block located directly in the center of the engine.

    • 3). Find the two circular ports on the passenger-side of the transmission. Find the two matching ports on the bottom of the radiator.

    • 4). Attach a nut to both ends of the transmission line hose. Push the end of the hose into the ports on the transmission and the radiator. Both sides of the hose are identical so it doesn't matter which end goes into which port. Repeat with the other length of hose from the transmission the radiator.

    • 5). Tighten the nuts on the ports using the flare nut wrench. Twist firmly counterclockwise until resistance is met. Don't twist to hard or you could strip the port.
