How Do You Use Thought Energy?

"So many of our dreams at first seem impossible, then they seem improbable, and then when we summon the will, they soon become inevitable" ~Christopher Reeve Thought energy is said to be one of the most powerful forms of energy in the universe.
Think about this; how often do we really think? We're not talking about those 50,000 plus random thoughts that we have in a typical day, 80% being negative self-talk.
Much of this is habitual patterns of thought, not real thinking at all.
We're talking about using your mind for creating what it is you desire; to live a life of purpose; life on your terms.
It has been said that 2% of the people really think, 3 % think they think and 95% would rather die than think.
So where are you in this? Do you find yourself daydreaming about the same things without creating real change? If so, you are not alone.
Sustained thinking towards yourgoals and vision is not something that we are taught in school or elsewhere.
We are mostly taught to regurgitate facts and dates so we can pass tests.
Many years later most of us could not remember an algebraic equation or when the Battle of the Bulge took place.
Without learning how to use your mind properly and how to focus it on your desired outcome you will be subject to random, often unproductive thoughts.
Life may seem like the hit comedy movie, "Groundhog Day.
" To start using your mind properly and learn how to focus you can create a vision for your life.
In order to do this we first use one of our powerful mental faculties, our imagination.
Then we use the will.
If we were just to imagine a desired life and not focus on this vision it would quickly become a mere pipe dream.
We need a highly evolved will to hold our vision on the screen of our mind to the exclusion of other things that can de-rail us.
How can we develop our will? Here are two well known and powerful practices that many use to begin focusing their will: Meditation: Meditation even for 10-15 minutes a day will train your mind to be quieter-You can sit across the room from a lit candle or a dot on the wall and focusing on that until you seem to meld into the candle or the dot.
When your thoughts come, as they will notice them and then go back to the candle or dot...
this is practice and not about perfection.
If you keep it up you will see that you have more control over your mind wandering.
Visualizations: Another way to focus our will is to visualize.
We read our vision twice daily and really picture it.
We imagine ourselves living this way.
We use our emotions and feelings to create this picture.
If your thought is the great attracting power then your mental picture will be re-creating in form.
It is the law and has to work when it is sustained over time.
Enjoy using your powerful will...
