How to Spot a Bad Product
Unfortunately the health care market has always had lots of snake oil salesmen.
People who sell based on the emotion/serious problem of the consumer.
It's been happening for hundreds, if not thousands of years, and it appears that it's not going to let up any time soon so it's best to know what scams are currently going on and how to spot them before they take advantage of you.
A few years ago there was some really revolutionary products.
The product themselves weren't anything new - the way they were marketed was however.
They actually gave away free trials of the product, as long as you pay shipping, and then after you try the product you can either keep on getting the product or cancel.
(It was totally up to you, of course.
) A few con artists saw the blooming success of this method and decided to put their own spin on it.
They'd offer the same great products, give the same free trial, but instead of billing them again after they've given the product a real good try they bill them just a few days after the product itself is shipped! Often times they bill the consumer before the parcel even reaches their door steps.
Combine that with the fact that these consumers have a terrible time canceling due to phone lines, literally, being discontinued and no alternative out there it makes for an awful mess.
The main niches these free trial scams take place in are: acai, resveratrol, colon cleansing, and skin care.
Spotting one of these scams can be really tricky because there are still tons of great free trial products out there that do things the good way - the ethical way.
It's best to always search the product name and read reviews.
Either that or make sure the product itself was referred to you by someone you really trust.
