Ingredients
- 1/4 cup butter or margarine
- 1/3 cup flour
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup chicken broth
- 1 cup milk
- 2 cups cooked diced chicken
- 1 jar (2 ounces) chopped pimiento, drained
- 1 can or jar (3 or 4 ounces) sliced mushrooms, drained
- Prep Time: 10 minutes
- Cook Time: 10 minutes
- Total Time: 20 minutes
- Yield: Serves 4
Preparation
In a medium saucepan, melt butter; stir in flour and salt; cook over low heat for about 1 minute, stirring constantly.
Gradually stir in the chicken broth and milk. Cook and stir until the sauce is thick and bubbly. Add chicken, pimiento, and mushrooms. Heat through.
Serve on puff pastry shells, biscuits, or rice.
