How to Cut Bullnose for a Ceramic Countertop
- 1). Lay the bullnose from the outside corners toward the inside corners. This will place the cut edges at the inside corners where they will be less noticeable. If there are no corners on the counter, plan the cut where it is at the least visible end.
- 2). Measure for the cut with a tape measure and place the bullnose on the tile cutter. Instead of cutting exactly at the point measured, cut it very slightly larger so the cut fits snugly. Rub the cut edge with sandpaper and remove as much of the sharpness as possible without damaging the surface.
- 3). Apply grout to the cut tiles with a grout pad and pull the excess off with the edge of the pad. When washing the grout from the tile, take special care to keep the grout full and flush against the cut edge to help hide the cut.
