How to Create a Head Wrap Using a Scarf
- 1). Bring the opposite corners of a large square scarf together to form a triangle. Drape it over your head, pointed end in back, then cross the ends under your chin. Make a double knot at the nape of your neck or to one side for a Jackie O-inspired look.
- 2). Fold a small square scarf into a triangle and drape the scarf over your head so that the straight edge sits on your forehead, just below your hairline. Cover the tops of your ears as you bring the ends of the scarf to the back of your head. Tie a tight square knot over the scarf point for a sporty look, or let the point hang over for a peasant-girl look.
- 3). Create a headband out of an oblong scarf by first centering it at the back of your neck under your hair. Pull the ends up over the tops of your ears and twist once at the top of your head. Bring the ends down and knot at the nape of your neck.
- 4). Keep in mind that scarves worn as head wraps are subject to the grime of hair products and makeup. Clean them regularly.
