Water: Can"t live without it.
Water: Can't Live Without It...
The most important thing to be prepared for is water shortages; along with ever so important food is not being thirsty. As we watch world events unfold we see war, famine, drought, and depletion of our natural resources. The United States is running out of fresh water because:
1: Corporations like Nestle are depleting the great lakes for profit..
2: Rise in population puts strain on always declining water table..
3: From it's natural source is usually rerouted to the states with the highest bid for it, and places with little water usually demand the most from it's neighbors.
4: It is becoming more valuable than oil, and people like T Boone Pickens, George W Bush's family, and elite rich people are buying up land with water reserves under them all around the world. It is fact through land sales documentation that the One World'ers are indeed buying up land in rainforest, and other countries with more untapped water resources.
5: They take what should be free to everyone and bottle it up and sell it back to us usually with more toxins in it than from which it started as. Not all bottled water is from the source they claim, and scientists have found many toxins in the drinking water we buy pre-packaged in bottles. Thus creating a fresh water frenzy and water hoarding from evil corporations.
Water: How to always have it:
1: It is most important to have at least 25 gallons of water for short term crisis and immediate water back-up supply.
2: Must have water filters, the more the better. I would have a couple of cases of water filters for your water pitcher. This way you can have good water from a questionable source and at least have a way to clean it up.
3: Super Water filters are great emergency kit items. Seychelle makes one of the best super filter available, and just released a new one that filters out radiation. If you have no reliable water source, this is a must have. I own one of Seychelle's water filters and they last three times longer than average ones from super market, they get 99.9% of impurities out which makes for great tasting water. These filters can be used for stream or lake water, or any questionable water source you may find yourself drinking from.
4: Look into water storage technique's, there are many, and see how within your means and setup be able to store 55 gallon drums of water. This would be great for immediate water needs but if we are in a situation where we cant travel with it, it is useless. So go back to number 3 and make sure you have portable water filtration devices.
5: Dig your own water well, if you can't afford the thousands of dollars it takes to permit, drill, and gear up your well for pumping into a underground storage tank; you can always purchase the shallow well drilling kits for survival well drilling. Where there is life there is water, a digital water locating device is handy as well, but if you don't have that you can usually by rule of thumb find moisture in the ground near lake or river and dig with a shovel.
Water: Natural ways to procure water..
1: Rain and snow can be collected in so many ways to provide water in a pinch. Being able to filter and boil the water means let it snow!!
2: If you live by stream or river you can divert to storage tanks for holding until needed. Using pvc pipes and stuff from a local hardware store to create your needs.
3: Shallow wells near water table, you can have water located for you by water surveying guy's and they have means to find the shallowest water for procurement.
Water: Most important thing of all..
1: Have the means to filter water no matter the source. It is key to have portable water filtration capabilities. To ensure your family's needs in time of crisis, water, food, and protection are the top three must have things.
