    • 1). Disconnect the power to the dryer in your breaker panel.

    • 2). Remove the screw beside the terminal block cover on the top of the rear panel, then remove the terminal block cover.

    • 3). Determine if you are installing a power cord or a conduit wire. If installing a power cord, a wall outlet with three or four prongs must be installed on the wall by an electrician.

    • 4). Connect the strain relief to the bottom of the terminal block if you're installing a conduit cable, or connect the squeeze connector to the bottom of the terminal block if you're installing a power cord. To install the strain relief, remove the screws from the side of the strain relief and insert the tab on each clamp section into the terminal block hole. Tighten the strain relief screws just enough to hold the two pieces together. If you're installing a squeeze connector, thread it into the hole on the bottom of the terminal block.

    • 5). Insert the conduit cable through the strain relief or insert the power cord through the squeeze connector. Be sure that the cable or cord is inserted far enough that the wires can easily reach the terminal screws. Tighten the screws on the sides of the strain relief or on the side of the squeeze clamp to hold the cable or cord in place.

    • 6). Remove the center terminal block screw. If you're installing a four-wire conduit cable or power cord, remove the ground screw above the center terminal block screw. Remove the grounding cable connected to the center terminal block screw and the grounding screw. If installing a three-wire conduit cable or power cord, do not remove the grounding screw.

    • 7). Connect the neutral wire, which is often white, to the center terminal screw, then screw the screw back into the terminal block. If using a three-wire connection, be sure to also connect the grounding cable to the center terminal screw before attaching.

    • 8). Remove the other two terminal block screws, located on either side of the neutral terminal and connect the other two power cables.

    • 9). Connect the green grounding wire, if you're using a four-wire connection, to the top grounding screw.

Replace the terminal block cover and secure it using the screw you earlier removed.

Plug the power cable into the wall, then restore power to the dryer in your breaker panel.
