How to Clean Humidor Mold
- 1). Dampen a clean cloth with several drops of denatured alcohol.
- 2). Rub the dampened cloth against the sides, bottom and inside lid of the humidor.
- 3). Let the humidor sit for 24 hours, repeat the same cleaning process with a new cloth, and let the humidor sit another 24 hours.
- 4). Dampen a new, clean cloth with distilled water and wipe down the inside of the humidor. Leave the lid of the humidor open, and let dry for several days.
- 5). Return any non-moldy cigars to the humidor. Cigars that have contracted mold from the humidor will need to be disposed of, as returning them to the cleaned humidor will result in repeat mold growth.
