How to Treat Acne - Cheap and Effective Remedies That You Can Use From Around Your House
When it comes to learning how to treat acne, most people will simply defer to the TV commercials and ads and simply buy some chemical products and put it on their skin and hope that it works.
The problem is that often times, one product won't work for someone for various reasons.
They're then stuck with an expensive and ultimately useless item that is just left gathering dust on their shelves.
Well did you know that there are literally hundreds of items in your very own home for helping prevent and clear acne breakouts? What's great about all of these homemade acne treatments is that they're cheap, so if one doesn't work, you can try many, many more for only a few dollars at most.
In fact, some of the most effective treatments can cost less than a dollar! One of my favorites for how to treat acne is baking soda, otherwise known as bicarbonate soda in other parts of the world.
Baking soda is a fantastic exfoliator and really helps clear away those unseemly dead skin cells that contribute to acne outbreaks.
You simply mix a little soda with a little water and lightly massage onto your skin.
Then simply rinse it off and you're done.
A small box can be bought for 99 cents and will last several weeks.
Another fantastic remedy is to use honey.
Honey has some pretty powerful antibacterial properties and is a great moisturizer.
Simply put some on for about 10-15 minutes and rinse off.
The only caveat I'll add with honey is opt for uncooked/unprocessed versions as they're more beneficial and have more healing properties.
How about another use for aspirin? Aspirin is already hailed across the medical community as a miracle drug and has a documented history of amazing properties for people susceptible to strokes or heart attacks.
But I'm guessing you didn't know it's also great for people with acne.
The only change that we're going to do for how to treat acne is use it externally.
Simply crush up some tablets, mix with water, and apply to your skin.
Let it sit for a few minutes to both dissolve dead skin cells as well as clear out pores.
How about oatmeal? Oatmeal is a hearth healthy breakfast but it's also a skin friendly concoction! There's two ways to take advantage of this.
You can cook the oatmeal, allow it to cool and then apply it to your skin or you can blend dry oatmeal in a blender into a powder, mix with some water, and apply it to your skin.
Either way will help draw out toxins and dry out current breakouts.
