Instructions for Beading Bracelets
- 1). Size the bracelet. Wrap some nylon covered wire, made especially for jewelry making, around your wrist, leaving as much or as little slack as you'd prefer. When the wire is as long as you'd like the bracelet to be, add another centimeter and cut with wire cutters.
- 2). Attach half of the clasp to one end of the wire by looping the wire through the tiny hole on the clasp and securing it with a crimp bead. Crimp beads are specially made metal beads that are soft and can be pressed with pliers. Loop the crimp bead onto the wire and pull the free end of the wire back through the hole in the crimp bead. Squeeze the crimp bead shut using pliers. This will secure the clasp.
- 3). String any sort of beads you'd like onto the wire. Every couple of beads or so, you can string another color or style of bead onto your wire to add variety. Continue adding the beads until you have nearly reached the end of your wire. Remember to leave enough wire for the second half of your clasp.
- 4). Attach the second half of the clasp in the same way that you attached the first half: add a loose crimp bead at the end of the bracelet, loop the wire through the clasp hole and back down through the crimp bead's hole. Squeeze the crimp bead shut with the pliers.
