Is it Possible to Manage Our Stress With a 5 Minute Daily Routine?
Everyone gets stressed out to some degree or another.
We all have our own unique ways of dealing with it, and have established habits over the years that 'help' us deal with stress.
Has it ever occurred to you that it could be possible to manage your stress by spending as little as 5 minutes a day doing so? One of the ways to reduce and mange your stress is to come up with a time management plan that can work for you.
Here are a few questions you might want to consider while setting up your plan: •Do you know what you want to do with your life? •Do you have a life purpose? •Do you know what you want written on your tombstone when you transition? •Does any of it matter to you at all? •Why are you here and what are are you supposed to be doing while you're here? Some of those are pretty heavy duty questions, others have plagued thinkers for centuries, and the answers are as varied as the number of people on this planet.
If you wake up in the morning and don't know what you are going to do for the rest of the day, that could be slightly stressful to you.
But if you have no clue as to where you want to be in 1 year, 5 years, or at the end of your life that could be very stressful.
So now is the time for you to start taking stock of your life.
You, alone, with no input from your spouse, kids, doctor, teacher or anybody else.
What would happen if you sat down once a year or once a day and planned your life? This part takes a little more than 5 minutes initially, but you can get the daily task down to 5 minutes with some practice.
Get out a pad of paper, take 5 sheets and write one of the following categories on each page: 1.
Physical 2.
Mental 3.
Social 4.
Financial 5.
Spiritual On each page list what you would like to accomplish in each category.
Let's take an example and look at the Spiritual area: Spiritual: •I want to know who I am.
•I will show kindness to my fellow man/woman.
•I will meditate every day for X minutes.
•I will read one uplifting book every month.
Obviously the list will be unique to you.
Once you have the list then decide how you will accomplish it.
Make this a priority.
Things will come up, but at the end of the day-because you have a plan - you will know where your target is and know where you need to correct your course to achieve that goal.
If you don't know where you are going, you can take any ship in the harbor and still not get there.
With practice and a desire to fulfill your goals, this should only take you 5 minutes to do.
As you continue to do it you will get better and faster at it.
You will see results and those results will create more inner confidence, inner peace and you'll wonder why you ever felt stressed to begin with! You are taking control of your life and the end result is the life of your dreams.
Congratulations.
