How to Clean Odors From Air Vents

    • 1). Remove vent covers with a screwdriver.

    • 2). Use a rag, toothbrush and non-toxic household cleaner to remove as much dirt as you can from the inside of the vent.

    • 3). Mix ¼ cup of white vinegar with two cups of water. Pour the mixture into a spray bottle, shake it up then spray several times inside each vent.

    • 4). Place a car freshener inside the opening of the vent and secure it with electrical tape.

    • 5). Re-attach the vent covers.

    • 6). Turn up your heat or air conditioning for at least 30 minutes to encourage air circulation.
