Valentine's Day Cards

• Children can make standard Valentine's Day cards, if they are beginners. Valentine's Day cards consist of colorful construction paper, markers, glue and glitter. Pick construction paper in colors that fit the Valentine's Day theme, such as pink or red. Have the child cut the card in a heart shape by following an outline that you draw on the paper. Allow the child to create designs on the card with the markers. Your child can also apply glitter on the card by applying glue on certain spots and pouring the glitter over the glue. Valentine Coupon Card

• Children can create coupon cards for Valentine's Day. For example, your child can make a coupon for one free hug or for a handful of chocolate kisses. The coupons should be designed in colors that relate to the Valentine theme. The vouchers should be cut in the size of standard coupons.
  
  

A Valentine's Day Bracelet

• A child can make bracelets out of ribbons for Valentine's Day. You can purchase ribbon from the arts and crafts store in different designs, such as hearts and circles. Help your child cut the ribbon to fit his or her hand. You can also help your child glue the ends together, using a hot glue gun. Allow the glue to dry for 15 to 20 minutes. If you don't want to use glue, you can always tie the ends together. For a sturdier bracelet, have the child braid pieces of Valentine-themed ribbon together, then tie off the ends and put it around the child's wrist.
  
  

Valentine Heart Wreath

• The task of making a Valentine heart wreath is quite easy. You can help your child cut a large ring out of cardboard. Kaboose states that you can use a cereal box for this project, if you do not have access to cardboard. Continue by cutting hearts out of red and pink construction paper. Your child should write fun sayings related to Valentine's Day on the hearts, such as "Be mine," "I love you" or "Happy Valentine's Day." Glue the hearts onto the ring until the ring is fully covered.
