When your son or daughter has a birthday, naturally you want them to have a party to celebrate their birth.
Or maybe it's just a party you want to throw for them because of an accomplishment they made such as a graduation of one grade to another and you throw the party for all those such and such "graders".
And so, you want to invite their friends over to play games and have fun.
But, instead of making it an original party with just the basics, make it an all out Backyardigans theme party! They will love the characters and kids naturally feel like it's fun when it is bright and cheerful.
And they can relate to the characters because they make things delightful by the singing, dancing and playing around.
But, if you're questioning about HOW to make it such a party, here are a few ideas that can help you make it the way you want it:

• Plates and Napkins: When you start the serving and eating of the goodies or the cake, the children love to have colorful things to have their food on.
  Sometimes the plates and napkins that have the characters on them, actually have started kids into conversations of their favorite Backyardigan and then into different episodes that they have seen therefore, initiating another kinship between those few kids, making them deeper friends.
  
• Tablecloth: There are some Backyardigans tablecloths that are available and if you are fortunate to find one, they are a nice addition to add to your party.
  It keeps things clean and also an easy clean-up because it's disposable.
  The kids will love it as well.
  
• Balloons: Have some balloons set around for part of the decorations, or actually have them as a gift for the end of the party when the kids are being taken home and you can send them off with a Backyardigans balloon.
  They will love it and it will give them something to remember.
  All kids like things given to them and a balloon are the coolest things.
  
• Streamers: With your decorations, all parties have streamers.
  Except in this case, put streamers around the most used room.
  Hang them from the ceiling, but make sure you have colors that will coordinate with the Backyardigans theme.

  They will have a chance to regain their energy but still have fun too.
  It will be a nice change to have a quiet time for a party.
