How to Change a PCV Valve on a 1994 Mazda B-4000

    • 1). Purchase a replacement PCV valve. Make sure the valve is specifically for the 1994 Mazda B-4000 (4.0L engine). The B-2500 and B-3000 (2.5L and 3.0L) use different PCV valves.

    • 2). Shut the engine off and open the hood. Move to the center of the engine bay to locate the PCV valve. It's mounted on the driver's side valve cover in the middle of the compartment.

    • 3). Squeeze the hose clip with the pliers to loosen the hose. Pull the hose away from the PCV valve.

    • 4). Pull the PCV valve straight up to remove it. Firmly push the replacement PCV valve (the large end) into the valve cover. Squeeze the hose clip with the pliers; slide the hose onto the PCV valve to finish.
