How to Make a Bow Out of Tinsel

    • 1). Cut about 6 inches of the wired tinsel with the wire cutters. If you want a larger bow, cut a longer piece of wired tinsel.

    • 2). Lay your tinsel wire horizontally, on a flat work surface.

    • 3). Find the center and bend your wired tinsel to form a loop, just to the right of the center. Cross the upper end of the loop over the center in a diagonal fashion, ending just below the wire.

    • 4). Repeat this with the left side of your bow, with the tail end going diagonally from the left loop. You will end up with two loops and the two tail ends forming an X-shape. It should look like a pair of open scissors.

    • 5). Twist the center of the bow a couple of times where all the pieces of wire meet. This will secure the bow.

    • 6). Straighten the tail ends and adjust the loops of the bow to make them more round.
