A love letter is a great creative way to do just that.
Figuring out what to say always seems like the hardest part though.

Use endearing terms such as "dear", "sweetheart", "love", "my love" or "darling".
2.
Date the letter: Put the date that you wrote the letter on the letter.
It shows a time stamp so in a matter of weeks, months, or even years when you go back and reminisce about your young love, you can have a reference.
3.
Let them know how you feel, and be confident.
Don't hold back any feelings.
Remember it is always easier to write your feelings then it is to say it to someone's face.

Tell them what you like about them including how they dress or how they carry themselves.
4.
Make sure it's in your own hand writing.
