How Many Articles Do I Need to Write to Make Money Online?
There are many folks out there who claim that article marketers need "X" number of articles to really get the ball rolling on their article marketing endeavors.
And the "X" has so many variations depending on whom you are talking to, so, it's really hard to say what the real number might be.
It does make sense that you need a solid base of articles, but once you get to your "X" number of articles you need to fully concentrate on consistency; submitting quality articles continuously.
Indeed, there are some decent ideas on this topic from one of the major top online article directory websites, and in reviewing this material in video, audio, article, and eBook formats, it sounds reasonable.
Still, what I have found to be most important is consistency over time.
Here is what I do know; for a 3-year period I was averaging 13-articles a day.
I guarantee you, you don't need that many.
My thinking is that 2-articles a day would be "killer" for article marketing.
But, I do also think you need a good base of articles and so, those comments are completely apropos.
Mostly, what I found is that if I write "trendy" popular articles about Paris Hilton type stuff, then it is those clients that come to my website.
I found out, they are not my target market, so that is something to think about.
You need to write about things that your "ideal client" or customer is interested in.
But by the same token, do not assume too much, play around with it a bit.
I remember in my days of franchising, I thought I had the perfect "franchisee type" in mind and always looked for them.
Turns out my perfect clients I thought would succeed the most, were not our top performers.
So, remember that tidbit too.
Now in retirement, I run a Think Tank and so, I have to try to guess what high IQ people might be thinking about and guess what? Yah, I know you already know this but they do not care what Brittney Spear's dog had for breakfast, so I have to write articles that would have me in front of my potential think tank members; nano-tech, climate science, geo-politics, book reviews, UAVs, artificial intelligence, design, personal tech, etc.
If you will think of it, not in quantity but go into the minds of your future customers, and write articles for each of those "types of people" and perhaps 1-2 per week for each major type of personality within your niche.
And 2-3 articles per day max, you'll get there.
This is what I've found, and it really is sound advice.
I am winning in that regard, I am finding the right people for my article marketing efforts.
So, try to think of it in those terms, rather than just "X number" of articles.
I hope that helps.
