How to Grow Commiphora Myrrha
- 1). Clip cuttings from healthy trees that are 1 to 3 feet long. Choose cuttings from young tree branches. Let the cuttings dry for three days.
- 2). Prepare a planting location in full sun. Add sand to the soil to increase the draining properties. Myrrha is not tolerant of wet feet, so it is crucial that the soil drains well. Its natural habitat receives little rain and plenty of sun, and cuttings root easily.
- 3). Press the cuttings into the soil so the cut end is in the ground and the cuttings stand straight up. Water lightly.
- 4). Water the tree sparingly if at all. The average rainfall in myrrha's natural habitat is less than 1 foot a year. so you probably won't need to water at all.
