    • 1). Cut the persimmon wood into half logs or planks 3 to 5 inches thick.

    • 2). Set two planks of dried wood in a dry, dark place. Set the planks far enough apart that each piece of persimmon wood can balance between them.

    • 3). Set the persimmon wood on the planks of wood horizontally. They should be suspended over the air so they can dry. Turn the persimmon wood once a month. It may take 6 to 12 months for the persimmon wood to dry completely.
