GE True Oven Temp Troubleshooting
Instructions
1Turn off the oven and unplug from power prior to making thermostat knob alterations.
2
Pull the "Oven Temp" knob off of the post on the oven range. Turn it over and turn the screws counterclockwise one turn. Turn the pointer on the knob clockwise towards the words "Make Hotter" if the oven temperature seems too low. Turn it towards "Make Cooler" if the oven is too hot. Tighten the screws slightly and set the knob back on the range post, sliding the flat part of the knob on to the shaft.
3
Hold the knob with one hand and the back facing you if the knob has two dials. Turn the screws counterclockwise one turn. While holding the back of the knob, turn the front of the knob towards the right to increase oven temperature. Turn it to the left to decrease the oven temperature. Tighten the screws slightly and set the knob back on the range post, sliding the flat part of the knob on to the shaft.
4
Press the "Bake" and "Broil Hi/Lo" buttons at the same time and hold for two seconds if the oven does not have an adjustable temperature knob. The display will read "SF." Press the "Bake" pad and use the arrow pads to increase or decrease the oven temperature.
5
Increase or decrease the oven temperature using the arrow buttons or the oven thermostat knob to make incremental changes in temperature while cooking.
