Lawrence Manor Motel

• The Lawrence Manor Motel is an unassuming, one-story motel located on Gouverneur's Main Street. Each quaint room of this privately-owned motel has been hand decorated. No two rooms are quite the same, each features its own antique furnishings, quilts and decor. The motel is simple, but all guest rooms include cable TV and wireless Internet. On the motel grounds is also the Victorian Lady Bed and Breakfast as a lodging option. The parlor and porch serve as a gathering room for motel guests. Food is not available, but may be brought in. While there, visit the Gouverneur Museum and Casablanca Restaurant, just up the road.
  
  

Clearview Motel

• The Clearview Motel is located about a mile south of downtown Gouverneur. The motel was opened in 1968, by Mario and Mabel Pisotlesi, to go along with their Clearview Restaurant, which had been in business since 1952. They have since retired, and their son Joe still owns the motel, as of 2011. The single-story motel has 35 units, some rooms including Jacuzzis and fireplaces. The restaurant, which sits right next door, is now the Mullins Family Restaurant and Lounge. It seats 350 people and has a full menu. The motel is a 15-minute drive from the Adirondacks where hiking, snowmobiling, ATV riding and other activities await.
  
  

Oswegatchie River Lodge

• Six miles north of the center of town is the Oswegatchie River Lodge. As of January 2011, Dale and Sophie Lehmer own this rustic farm house from the 1800s. The lodge sits back in the woods and is just a short hike from the Oswegatchie River itself. The lodge features three bedrooms and sleeps up to eight people. Food can be brought in by guests and prepared in the lodge's full kitchen. Down at the river there is a swimming hole, grills, hammocks and a screened-in picnic area. Other attractions at and around the lodge include hiking trails and guided tube or kayak floats down the river.
  
  

Riveredge Resort

• Those who wish to visit Gouverneur but who also wish to stay on the water will enjoy the Riveredge Resort, located 30 miles southeast of town, in Alexandria Bay. The Resort features 129 rooms, many of which offer relaxing and lovely views overlooking the St. Lawrence River. Accommodations ranging from single rooms to loft suites are available. The resort features both an indoor and outdoor pool, an arcade, a beauty salon and spa which offers full services. Dining options on-site include Holland Street Bistro and outdoor dining dockside. Drinks can be enjoyed at the River Watch Lounge. Local activities include boating on the river and touring historic Boldt Castle.
